Crane Hydraulic Cylinder

In the forestry sector, hydraulic cylinders are essential for the safe and efficient operation of logging equipment such as harvesters, forwarders, and grapples. These cylinders provide the force required for cutting, lifting, and handling heavy logs in demanding outdoor conditions.

Recycling machinery, including balers, shredders, compactors, and scrap handling equipment, relies heavily on hydraulic cylinders to process materials efficiently. These cylinders enable the controlled compaction, cutting, and sorting of waste and scrap materials.

Hydraulic cylinders used in aerial work platforms (AWPs) and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) ensure precise and safe lifting of operators to elevated positions. They are critical for stability, smooth movement, and operator safety.

Forestry hydraulic cylinders are engineered with heavy-duty housings, oversized piston rods, and advanced sealing systems to withstand extreme pressures and environmental factors such as dirt, moisture, and impact. Induction-hardened and chrome-plated rods improve resistance against abrasion and corrosion. Load-holding valves are often integrated to ensure operator safety when handling large timber loads.

Cylinders for recycling applications are designed for high cycle frequencies and continuous heavy loads. Double-acting cylinders with high-pressure seals are standard, while piston rods are surface-treated to resist wear caused by metal fragments, dust, and abrasive materials. In scrap grapples and shears, cylinders are fitted with end-cushioning systems to reduce shock loads and extend service life.

These cylinders are typically designed with a lightweight but strong construction, ensuring compact installation without compromising load capacity. Safety features such as counterbalance valves and emergency lowering systems are commonly integrated. The cylinders must comply with strict international safety standards and are tested for fatigue resistance, ensuring reliable operation in applications where human safety is paramount.
